How is the Regenerative Cotton Standard® changing farmers’ lives in India?
We had the opportunity to sit down with two cotton farmers from the village of Pimpaldhara in Maharashtra. They told us what it truly means for them to be part of the RCS family and shared their experiences in successfully implementing the standard’s requirements with us. Their insights highlight the importance of sustainable farming practices and demonstrate the positive changes they bring to their community.

RCS & Training Opportunities
RCS managing entities have access to AbTF’s broad knowledge and training resources concerning good agricultural practices, IPPM, WASH, biodiversity, and responsible water and soil management. Managing entities’ extension teams gain access to our online learning platform to ensure the continued high quality of their work. Further topics to be integrated include animal welfare, agroforestry, and community engagement. Stay tuned!

RCS changed how Rajendra and Anusuya understand their fields.
By learning to use pheromone and sticky traps, scouting their crops, and applying compost and green manure, they transitioned to a more natural, lower-cost system. Their yields have become more consistent, and their confidence has grown along with the responsiveness of their soil.
